Maddox Motor Company

Our story

Maddox Motor Company was founded by Owen Lee Maddox in 1939. Four generations later, the same family is still out on the lot shaking hands.

“During those years, four generations of Maddox men offered exceptional customer service and vehicles at a great price.”

From the Maddox family history

After a brief closure during World War II, Maddox reopened in 1946 and bought the downtown Sidney store a year later, home for the next 54 years. Layton Maddox took over from Lee in 1963, and Bill Maddox bought the store from his father in 1988, the same year it was named one of the top five Chrysler dealers in the United States.

Bill added the Dodge brand in 1989, RVs joined the lineup in 1998, and in 2000 Bill and his son Craig moved to a bigger home at 564 Glover Road with room for vehicles and RVs alike. Craig became a partner in 2014 and today runs the store with the same promise his great-grandfather made.
